Dr. Kène Henkens
Professor of Ageing, Retirement and the Life Course

Henkens studies the transition of the older workforce into retirement, as well as employer behaviors in an ageing labor market. His work has high societal impact and he is a reference point for ministries and other parties involved in policy making on these topics. Henkens has been highly successful in attracting external funding from national and European sources, and has been awarded prestigious VIDI and VICI grants. He is an elected member of the Academia Europeae and associate editor of the Oxford University Press Journal Work, Aging and Retirement.
