Dr. Liesbet Heyse

Heyse studies non-profit and public organizations that aim to improve the position of disadvantaged groups in society. She involves stakeholders (e.g., humanitarian NGOs, NGOs focusing on labor market integration of refugees, municipalities) in transdisciplinary, co-created research, and develops applied tools for employers and practitioners of humanitarian action. Heyse has received funding for leading roles in large ZonMw, NWO, and UK-based Humanitarian Innovation Fund projects. She is member of the Standing Group on Civil Society of the European Group of Organization Studies, and member of the board of the Dutch Sociological Association.
