In the last week of August, Sustainable Cooperation Program (SCOOP) and Social Cohesion Consortium (SOCION) joined forces for our annual conference on sustainable cooperation and social cohesion.
Over three days, more than 100 researchers came together to celebrate recent scientific findings, exchange ideas, and welcome our new PhD students. We explored topics from social network structures to gender equality in medicine.
A particular highlight was hearing from our keynote speaker, Joan C. Williams, who spoke about how the social sciences can impact society. We also enjoyed a theatre performance by De Nieuwe Bazaaar, exploring what it means to bring together all the voices of a community.
