About Frank

I am theme leader Migration and Migrants at NIDI and Professor of Migration and Intergroup Relations at Utrecht University.

I conduct research on the integration of immigrants and their children, focusing on demography, religion, language, and inequality. I co-coordinated the Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Study in Four European Countries (CILS4EU).

I received a Veni (2005) and Vidi (2009) grant from the National Science Foundation (NWO), and I was awarded the Ammodo KNAW grant (2015). My work has appeared in leading journals, including American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, European Sociological Review, and Demography. I am a fellow of the European Academy of Sociology.
